Rosh Hashanah traditions
On Rosh Hashannah we went down to the Intracoastal (the Indian River) with our synagogue to perform tashlich, a symbolic ritual in which we examine our shortcomings from the year before and then cast them off - vowing to do better in the coming year. At our synagogue it is a custom to wear white to the ceremony.

Max listening to the Rabbi
Casting off our sins. The boys listed time outs at school and aftercare and vowed to be nicer to each other next year.
Cute kids, huh? This might be our Hanukkah Card.
We eat many symbolic foods, including apples dipped in honey.
Yum!
mmmm.
Shanah Tovah u'Metukah everyone!!
